YanYan is a great team player. She has worked closely with developers, project managers, marketing and sales team. She can also takes projects from zero to the development - from concept, prototype to the visual elements - no matter it's a mobile application, a desktop software, or a website. She has a Master of Fine Art degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design.
As her design philosophy, she says "I believe the design process must balance between functionality and aesthetics."
User experience is essential to a product. Therefore the first step for me is to understand the user needs and business cases; to know the audience by analyzing the persona, scenarios and use cases. Who are the end users? How the solution we design will solve the problem?
Wireframe & Prototype
Wireframes bridges the information architecture to the visual design. It gives people a grasp of the product’s functionality, shows navigation between pages and ensures the requirements are met through the design. I will create low-fidelity or high-fidelity wireframes and prototype depending on the different phase the project is at.
With strategically implementing images, colors, typography, shapes and texture, I want to make sure the design elements enhance the usability, interaction and user experience for a product. It also helps to give users a clear visual path and direct the flow through the page.
